All children who attend Karihwanoron are taken from the waiting list. This is flowed in chronological order, however those who have siblings already in the program will be given priority.

Karihwanoron is not prejudice towards religion or political views. The age of acceptance for Karihwanoron is 18 months by the start date in September and 4 years by September 30th entering into Nursery.

The traditional, cultural learning continues to the 6th grade level.

We provide two Mohawk speakers per max. of 12 children in order that the full extent of the Language is heard naturally through dialogue between speakers.

The Mohawk language is endangered. Parents as role models have the responsibility to provide the values of our ancestor’s home and to provide a natural continuation of the Mohawk Language from school into the home.
